My guy told me he would haul anything away as long it was smaller than a '57 Chevy.Warrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13813109287283969542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2748577096705877739.post-55186402384190609552012-01-12T13:00:04.798-06:002012-01-12T13:00:04.798-06:00This all sounds like some recent conversation. Yes, the old trash...Now for the rest of the story. Yes, the old trash cans might blow down the street after they're emptied, but the current guys will take anything! I've used and abused them for years. Heavy? No problem. 2 cans and bags beside them? No problem. Yard waste? No problem. Tree limbs, no need to bundle, if they can pick it up in an arm load, they'll take it. We will now have to purchase separate special bags for yard waste, and everything, I mean everything, must be bagged. If you have an esspecially trashy week and miss trash day, you're stuck with the trash until an esspecially untrashy week so you can fit the extra trash in the new receptacle. Recycling, yes, I welcome that service. More participation all around. But no matter how you look at it, the specs of the new contract will require that prices increase. All the new trucks must run on natural gas, and I'm sure the cost to retrofitting those trucks will be passed on to the consumer, we must pay extra for the recyling service, etc., etc. Maybe it will be better and I'm afraid of change, but I'm more afraid of the $$$ I think.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
